As a Professional Skateboarder I have learned that Surfing is the greatest form of therapy with enormous healing power. As a lifelong surfer with 35 years of experience in the ocean I have learned the benefits and the dangers of the sea. Progression, Safety and FUN are my three main priorities when teaching techniques of proper wave riding, harnessing the ocean’s movements and while enjoying the thrill of it all, Sharing my wealth of knowledge of surfing and surf culture is my duty to get you up and riding with confidence and style.

Jonathan Cuervo is a highly experienced Guitarist and Educator with 25 years of professional performance and instruction. He has played over 500 shows alongside diverse artists, demonstrating specialization across various musical genres. Jonathan refined his skills through online programs at Berklee College of Music and the Musicians Institute. His passion lies in teaching students of all ages, utilizing a proven method designed for quick and accessible learning. He offers instruction for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, currently teaching a diverse age group from 10-year-olds to adults.

My focus is to engage with students through my innovative, teaching methods and having fun while doing so. My expertise in vocal techniques has empowered students to excel in performances and want to continue to grow! I love to inspire and motivate young talents that are passionate about creating and opening an environment that celebrates music and artistic expression.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, basketball has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I come from a family of athletes—my brother and sister both played Division I basketball, and I was fortunate to follow a similar path. I earned a basketball scholarship to Boise State, where I competed at the collegiate level and continued to develop my game. After college, I had the opportunity to participate in several NBA tryouts, which opened the door for me to continue my career playing professionally overseas. Those experiences deepened my understanding of the game and gave me a global perspective on basketball. Now, my passion lies in teaching and developing players. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping athletes improve and watching their skills grow, both on and off the court. Basketball gave me so much, and I’m dedicated to passing that on to the next generation.
