"I’ve asked Jay regarding one review that’s gotten 1 star rating… Not to badmouth anyone here, but it’s very misleading to just hear one side of the story so I’m putting down a review so you guys can decide. What Jay told me happened was that this particular student told through the app that she never needed equipments. So then, of course Jay or any instructor will come empty handed. Then first thing she told him was “I don’t have any clubs” and that’s how their lesson started off. After one hour, she told him how willing she was to take two instead of one lesson a week so she can develop faster. So Jay planned her curriculum accordingly. But at the end, she didn’t explain her text thoroughly regarding getting lessons and he ended up preparing as if he would see her. And then the rest happened. My personal experience with jay is just like the rest of the people here. Absolutely amazing of a coach!

I have taught over 100 students from age 4 to ages 65+! Over ten years of active gigging and recording experience in guitar and voice and five years on bass. (Spanish speaker too). Let's groove! I have been performing as a bassist for over 18 years, and teaching for over ten years. As an instructor, I meet students where they are and tailor my teaching approach accordingly. Lessons are collaborative; I want to get to know each student and your individual goals and learning style in order to create an open and comfortable learning environment. My extensive musical background allows you to choose music YOU like to play, and through each song we will work on specific technical, harmonic, and rhythmic concepts. I use my experience as an active working musician to inform the lessons and ground everything you learn in real-world application. About me: I tour the US and internationally with Future Teens, an indie rock band with over three LPs on our resume. Future Teens has been featured on NPR, The Boston Globe, and WBUR, and was Boston Music Awards’ 2019 Alt/Indie Artist of the Year. I studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where I earned the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. I have a BA in English and French from Skidmore College (‘13). With 20 years of experience playing the game, I strive to develop well-rounded players through strategic skill-building and personalized training. Playing for 5 years in college at St Leo University and Arizona State University i love growing the game of lacrosse through the younger generation.

Beyond performance, he has been crafting music for television since 2009, showcasing his versatile musical talent. Passionate about nurturing vocal skills, Elias finds joy in teaching students of all ages and skill levels. His commitment to continuous improvement is evident in his four-year study under the guidance of the renowned celebrity vocal coach, Robert Stevenson. Elias brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to his role as a vocal instructor, ensuring a dynamic and enriching learning experience for his students.
