This is Roger Lee.  I am a PPR certified coach and teaching pro at Crow Canyon Country Club where I lead the pickleball programming organizing clinics and skills and drills workshops, and pickleball social activities. Because there is such a large demand for training, I also lead the “Train the Trainer” sessions to teach new coaches.  I grew up playing tennis through high school and college, played racquetball competitively afterwards, but have really enjoyed playing and teaching Pickleball. I promote pickleball everywhere I go across the US, and in countries that have never seen a pickleball like parts of Uganda and Kenya.  With eight years of coaching experience and a National Medalist title, I'm dedicated to helping you excel in pickleball. Growing up in sports, I’ve always been driven be the lessons, challenges, and personal growth they bring—and I love passing those experiences on to others. What makes my coaching unique is that I’m a self-taught golfer. I know exactly what it feels like to learn from the ground up, which helps me connect with golfers of all levels and guide them through their own journey of becoming a better version of themselves. I’m passionate and both the mechanics of the swing and the deeper side of the game-the strategy, the mindset and the self-awareness it develops. Since the age of 5, I have explored my fascination with music. Starting with Suzuki piano, I gave a recital in high school and went to Oberlin Conservatory. Continuing on to Peabody and Eastman, I completed my music education and moved on to IT while exploring additional passions in music on the side. I'm now back to music full time, with an emphasis on teaching conservatory-level classical piano and beginning/intermediate violin and latin percussion. I teach at your home or at mine in Danville.

I'm 47 and have been studying, writing and performing music since the age of 15. I have a B.A. in Music from San Francisco State University where I studied classical intensely, as well as jazz and world music. I live in South Berkeley and have been teaching private lessons here for the last 20 years at my home studio in a cooperative house. I worked for BandWorks School of Rock in Oakland as a band coach for 6 years and now currently have my own independent program. I enjoy performing classical music for weddings and events, playing shows with local rock, metal and Django/Hot Club swing groups, writing original music and scoring for films. I love and appreciate genuine passionate music of all genres, languages and cultures.
