I use one the #1 swing training aids (pro sender) created Sean foley (past coach of Tiger Woods) and David Woods. { I have a simplified 3 part swing training to make any golfer better at the game. After proper stance and positioning I have simplified the entire swing to 3 easy steps} With a specialization in the short game, Ricardo's skills on the golf course have garnered admiration and respect from his peers. I believe every golfer—whether brand new or returning to the game—deserves coaching that meets them where they are.. My approach focuses on simplifying the game as much as possible so that each swing, routine, and decision becomes repeatable under real on-course conditions. Golf doesn't have to be complicated to be effective—I aim to give students tools they can rely on, even when pressure builds. Ultimately, my goal is to help players build strong fundamentals, develop confidence, and enjoy the process of improvement. I work with students from beginners, intermediate or advanced. I also work with kids who want to give golf a try. Lesson Format: Each session is customized based on the student’s experience, goals, and learning style, with a consistent format that ensures structure and growth: 1. Initial Assessment & Goal Setting (First Lesson.) -Discuss student goals (e.g., break 100, improve short game, gain distance.) -Evaluate current swing, posture, grip, and stance. -Provide initial feedback and outline a personalized lesson plan 2. Warm-Up & Fundamentals Review (Each Lesson) -5–10 minutes of dynamic stretching and swing warm-up. -Brief review of previous lesson’s key takeaways 3. Drills & Skill Development -Use targeted drills to build consistency and technique (e.g., alignment sticks, impact bags, foot spray, and tees for feedback) -Focus on one major skill per session (e.g., ball striking, putting, bunker play). -Adjust drills in real-time based on performance and progress 4. Video Analysis (When Applicable) -Use mobile video tools for visual feedback. -Compare student’s swing to previous footage or pro examples 5. On-Course Situational Coaching (Available for Intermediate/Advanced) -Teach course management, club selection, and mental game strategies. -Practice real scenarios like uphill lies, tight fairways, or green reading 6. Recap & Homework -Recap top 2–3 focus points from the session -Provide practice drills or training plan to reinforce lessons between sessions -Offer encouragement and realistic next steps I also provide on-course lessons. . $75 for lessons + $50 for any additional hour, and I also kindly request to cover my green fees. For on course lessons, we will go over tee box strategy, pre shot routines, troubled lies, green reading and course management.

I’ve played tennis all my life, always having access to courts and developing a deep appreciation for the sport's unique rhythm and strategy. I believe that each player should develop their own style because we’re all different. My dad, a math, tennis, and boxing instructor, taught me that these disciplines share a lot in common. Mastering tennis is about perfecting your shots, serves, slices, and footwork, but it ultimately comes down to the mental game. On the court, you learn the "equations" of actions and behaviors needed to outplay your opponent, turning each match into an artful challenge of skill and technique. For me, tennis is about the joy of the game, not just winning or losing. It's a sport that starts with love and ends with respect—whether through a handshake, a hug, or a simple nod if you're too sweaty. Most importantly, tennis is always a good time, and it’s a lifelong sport that can help you live healthier and longer!

From an experienced school teacher to a 4.5 rated Pickleball instructor, I've transitioned my dedication for teaching into a new athletic arena. With over 3 decades of tennis playing and coaching under my belt, including a two-year stint at Mesa College, I bring a rich and diverse experience to my coaching. My journey into the dynamic world of Pickleball started a short 2 years ago, and in that short span, I've achieved a player rating of 4.0 to 4.5. Currently, I am currently a Pro-Certified instructor with the PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) to further strengthen my Pickleball coaching credentials. Despite my newfound passion for Pickleball, I still teach tennis, integrating the best of both sports into my training approach. Together, let's work on boosting your skills and raising your game!

I started playing pickleball in 2014 and have been successful in local tournament play events. Due to my early experience, I started the pickleball program at my local tennis club in Scripps Ranch as it increased from 2 to 4 to 8 pickleball courts. From there, with the help of the tennis pro, we started with large groups (30 -40 players) for pickleball training sessions years ago until interrupted by the Covid pandemic. We were able to start training again in 2023 with our current expanded player base. For the last few years, I have continued with private training sessions at local recreation areas, parks and at résidences.
