Born in France and raised in England, I trained in top academies before competing in the U.S. at both NCAA Division II and Division I levels, finishing at Mount St. Mary’s University while earning my MBA. I’ve also played in USL League Two and NPSL, gaining experience across different levels of the game. As a coach, I help players improve their technical skills, game IQ, and confidence on and off the ball. With a background across European and American systems, I break the game down in a way players understand — pushing them to reach their full potential through discipline, smart training, and real match insight.

I played college soccer in the USA, where I won a couple of championships and was a key leader on my team. Before college, I was a captain in the youth academy for Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany. My playing experience at a high level has shaped me into a coach who focuses on discipline, teamwork, and developing players to reach their full potential.

Hi, I’m Coach Joan Torres, a former high-level player in the Spanish league from ages 9 to 18 and a proud member of the Andorran national team from U9 to U21. I’m currently coaching at Barça Academy in Miami and pursuing an MBA in Sports Administration after playing collegiate soccer at William Penn and St. Thomas University. I specialize in 1-on-1 and small group sessions designed to maximize each player’s potential through personalized, high-quality training.
