He previously held the role of Artistic Director for the University of Chicago’s Performing Arts Series for over a decade. Cooper's illustrious career includes piano recitals at Carnegie Recital Hall and more than 100 performances with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. He earned degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester concurrently.

"Started violin for my 9 year old. 8 months and we are looking at completing Suzuki Book 1. He focuses on musicality, ear and not just the rote which is very good. He is very patient and guides my kid on techniques based on how he is playing. He modifies difficulty to suit what my kid can do i.e. we started doing dyads and ornaments and my kid picked it up quickly. Overall this has been a great experience and we can hear the difference in his playing.

This educational background has not only provided me with formal teaching qualifications but also a deep appreciation for the transformative power of music in education. My training spans classical, jazz, rock, and more. I’ve worked with students of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions or performances. Whether you’re learning your first chords, exploring improvisation, or diving into theory and composition, I’ll create a custom lesson plan that keeps you inspired, challenged, and making real progress. My approach is tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re a complete beginner, an aspiring songwriter, or preparing for a performance or audition. With 18 years of baseball knowledge, I cultivate both skills and a love for the game. I focus on fundamentals, advanced techniques, and mental strategies to help players excel. My passion lies in guiding athletes towards their full potential on the field. I also train out of Victory Sports in Oak Park. It’s connected to the Play it again sports. Most of my lessons will be there.
