Singing serves as an essential tool for demonstrating the desired or potential articulation and intent behind any piece of music my students and I could be exploring. Whether it's a tutti phrase in a big band score, the flow of a ukulele strumming pattern, or adjusting one's vocal placement technique in a challenging song, singing helps to embody and convey the musical expression we aim to achieve.
