I am a Japanese guy💪, born and raised in Japan. I learned to ski from my strict!? father at first, and later started skiing with school friends and family. In 1989, I obtained my Level 2 technical ski certification from the Japanese Ski Association (SAJ). During on-season, I’m teaching at a ski resort’s ski school. I can work with you during off-season at NJ. About my past life! I came to the United States as a student, and time has flown by since then. After becoming a frequent traveler for multiple jobs at one of the largest Japanese companies, I now retired and started teaching skiing for fun! I obtained my Level 1 ski instructor certification from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA-AASI) and have already passed my Level 2 ski exam, with my sights set on further improving my teaching skills. Phew😮💨, the learning 📚never ends! In addition to skiing for over 40+ years, I have a deep background in classical music 🎵and play the piano with a degree. I was also an official docent at Carnegie Hall for 10 years. Recently, I completed a Reiki healing master class and am planning to help others with it.
"Hi Fumi. I thought I lost your card but found it! Thank you for the ski lesson this past Monday. I really appreciate your patience and positivity. Thanks again!

I specialize in Ableton Live and modern music-making techniques that blend technical skill with creativity and intuition. My teaching style is patient, structured, and artist-focused — helping students not only understand the tools, but also develop their own sound. Whether it’s building a beat from scratch, learning arrangement and mixing, or exploring sound design, I guide students step-by-step toward creative independence.
