I'm a concert vocalist with 12 years of experience sharing my passion for singing. My teaching style blends technical mastery with joyful exploration, helping each student find their unique voice. Teaching Experience: 5 years The students of Mingyang Ma were admitted to the undergraduate or graduate programs of the Manhattan School of Music, the New England Conservatory of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Longy School of Music of Bard College, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as the Royal Northern College of Music in the UK and the University of York respectively, and were awarded high or full scholarships.

"My name is Joshua I am a 12 yr old and met Roddy because my mom met him in the supermarket and my mom told me about him and going to teach me how to do boxing I really like him he is a very good boxer and he made me laugh when he was showing me how to throw a punch the right way because I’m being picked on and my mom is worried about me Roddy told me bully’s are cowards and really do not want to fight my mom set it up so he comes over 2 times a week to teach me how to protect myself he is so good at boxing and I feel better about myself

Hockey has been my life for as long as I can remember. That passion led me to Wilkes University and then to the ECHL, where I've been playing professionally for the past three seasons. Now, I'm excited to share my knowledge with the next generation. I've been running hockey camps and lessons for players of all ages, from beginners to aspiring pros. My coaching goes beyond skills, focusing on mental toughness, efficiency, and the small details that make a big difference. I incorporate skill development into game-like scenarios, so players learn how to apply techniques effectively. Singing serves as an essential tool for demonstrating the desired or potential articulation and intent behind any piece of music my students and I could be exploring. Whether it's a tutti phrase in a big band score, the flow of a ukulele strumming pattern, or adjusting one's vocal placement technique in a challenging song, singing helps to embody and convey the musical expression we aim to achieve. Through vocal exploration and demonstration, students gain a deeper understanding of musical concepts and develop their own expressive abilities.
