With over 15 years of experience in high-level basketball, I am a former Division 1 athlete and professional player turned elite basketball trainer. Born with a passion for the game, I came to the U.S. on a full scholarship to compete at the collegiate level, where i built a solid foundation in both skill and discipline. After graduating, I went on to play professionally around the world β including stints in Georgia, Mexico, Rwanda, and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). Competing internationally allowed me to absorb different basketball styles, cultures, and training methods, all of which shaped my unique approach to player development. Now based in Austin, Texas, M is focused on giving back to the game by training the next generation of athletes. He specializes in building complete players β emphasizing fundamentals, basketball IQ, body conditioning, and mental toughness. Whether itβs a beginner or a high school athlete with college dreams, My mission is to help young players unlock their full potential both on and off the court. Through my new training brand, I am bringing global experience, pro-level intensity, and heart-centered mentorship to kids in Austin.
"Pape's lesson was quite thorough, really covering a lot in just an hour and his positive attitude and encouragement was a great fit for my daughter. Weβre looking forward to more lessons.

"I'm glad to say my recent lesson with Cecil helped me improve my forehand consistency, especially on those wide balls, even though staying low still feels a bit tricky. Though I feel more confident overall, I think I need to focus on faster recovery after hits. Still, it's encouraging to see progress in court coverage and footwork, so I might try to keep building on these areas. If you're looking to sharpen your baseline game, Cecil's approach might be worth trying.

"Iβd say the lesson with Mayra was quite helpful. She explained the fundamental rules pretty clearly and offered good feedback on my serve, though I still need to work on my positioning. Still, I appreciated her focus on basic strategies, which made me more confident about playing with others. If you're looking to get started or brush up on the fundamentals, you might want to give Mayra a try.

Brian, an accomplished adult player, has won a Texas sectional Menβs Open level major zone tournament and achieved a 6.0 NTRP rating. He is also a former Texas sectional major zone tournament champion at the 5.0 level and was USPTA certified to teach tennis 1999. Among his many achievements, his favorite memory is playing father-son doubles. As a coach, Brian has guided thousands of students, earning recognition from the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department for his work with junior players. Many of his former students have reached the super champ level, with one winning an NCAA D3 national championship in 2019.
"Generally, I find Brian has a good structure on the court, and he can rally with me for more energy and engagement which keeps things pretty active. Still, Iβd like to see us progress towards a full shot regimen during rallies, though. If that improves, I think itβll help me quite a bit moving forward. Definitely worth trying out if you want a coach who can keep the structure going without losing focus.

I picked up tennis as a middle schooler, played as a high schooler and enjoyed it competitively into both college (recreational) and during active duty. I continue to play, learn and tutor my children. I also had the honor of coaching elementary and middle school children as a Senior in high school. My desire to coach is in inspiring the next generation in this wonderful sport. Elaborating; my more competitive years were from 1994-1997 where I would compete across the state of Oklahoma in numerous USTA tournaments. Additionally, our high school hosted and participated in weekly matches and tournaments during the fall and spring school semesters. On a personal level, I am a Christian, husband, father, and hobbies are numerous because Iβm an adventurous guy (tennis, golf, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, mountain and trail hiking, Astronomy). Professionally, I completed my Masterβs Degree in 2016 & recently my PMP Certification (Project Management Professional). Security+ (CE) certified. Additionally, I coached Jr. Flag football (6 seasons), Jr. Volleyball (1 season) & Little League Baseball (2 seasons). My MinistrySafe Background Church sponsored by First Baptist Church of Georgetown (TX) was renewed as of July 2025 which included specific training in Sexual Assault Prevention and Reporting. TMT has a copy of the previous background annual check. During the week of 21-25 July 2025, I volunteered and served as the Small Group Leader for one of the 4th & 5th grades boys and girls (16 children; 2 supporting volunteers). 2025 RECAP: 30 Different Students 173 Lessons of Varying Player Levels Age Groups included: -Young children -Teenagers -Adults
"We practiced a lot of drills and drills I had never done before and we were taught scoring. :-)

I'm David, and after 30 years of playing 4.5 tennis, I discovered my passion for Pickleball and haven't looked back since. Now, I'm excited to share my expertise as a Certified PPR Coach and help beginners up to 4.0+ DUPR players improve their skills and understanding of this dynamic sport. Let's work together and elevate your Pickleball game!
"The lesson with David was quite helpful, especially with his focus on specific techniques that I hadnβt fully grasped before. Though I still have some areas to refine, I left feeling more confident in my paddle control and positioning, which was pretty good. Iβd consider signing up for another lesson to keep improving. But, we still have 4 more lessons, I think.

With 25+ years of tennis experience, I'm dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise with players of all ages. From serving techniques to game improvement, I'm here to help you elevate your skills and enjoy the game to the fullest.
"As an adult beginner who wants to learn how to play causally with friends, Piyush has helped me better understand the game. He is very patient when I have questions. As a result of my lessons, I have better awareness of the game and how to respond. Heβs good at changing his pace to accommodate my learning while also encouraging me to learn new things.

I flew out to San Diego to have a private lesson and my golf life changed. It took just five minutes to instantly improve my ball striking, chipping and putting. We played a round the next day and I shot three under par. I became a plus 2 later that year and qualified as an amateur to play in two consecutive Maryland Opens β professional event. My swing held up! So what does this all mean for you? I will teach you the methods and techniques that I learned 22 years after I started to play the game. Oh and about the nickname "Danimal," it's a funny story really. About 2 months after I first started playing pickleball, I entered a tournament and had to register with the USAPA (USA Pickleball Association). On the registration form, they ask you for a nickname, which I entered "Danimal" thinking no one would ever see it. Sure enough, during my first tournament, when being called over the loudspeakers for my matches, the announcer yelled Danimal rather than my first or last name. I was embarrassed and couldn't believe it. However, while walking to the courts, everyone high-fived me and told me they loved the nickname. That weekend, I won a gold medal in Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Men's Doubles completing a Triple Crown in my first tournament. Lo and behold, the nickname has stuck and is now forever
"Our corporate team had an incredible experience with Pickleball Playmakers this evening! From start to finish, everything went flawlessly. Danβs ability to engage the entire group, regardless of our skill level or experience, was truly impressive. He made the booking process a breeze and was exceptionally accommodating to our needs. We couldnβt have asked for a better event, and weβre already looking forward to working with them again in the future!

"Coach Brown, made growing as and athlete both consistent and effective. Always felt the positive mindset and confidence in each lesson.

I was signed as a NFL QB for the Cleveland Browns in 2020 after being one of 17 quarterbacks selected to attend the 2020 NFL Combine in Indianapolis. I played college football at Princeton University from 2016-2019 and am excited to share all I have learned with you. Growing up in California, I had a few of the best quarterback coaches in the country, named Tom House and Adam Dedeaux. They were the QB coaches for Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Matt Stafford, Jared Goff, Jalen Hurts, Justin Herbert, etc. I look forward to working together and passing along my knowledge and experience.
"Kevin's lesson was quite helpful, I appreciated his patience and clear communication about my specific inefficiencies. Though only one lesson, I felt more confident about my technique now. Honestly, itβs enough to keep me motivated to improve further. If you're looking for a straightforward and knowledgeable coach, Kevin might be a good choice to try out.
