Fun fact: I played against Michael Vick in high school! My team, I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, VA, defeated his team, Warwick High School — what a game! I also faced off against DeAngelo Hall from Deep Creek. Both went on to star in college and the NFL. The stories I could tell! I'm a football fanatic, but my passion doesn’t stop there. I’ve coached countless younger family members in all kinds of sports — because with passion, anything can be learned. I teach football, basketball, softball, track and field, and even competitive frisbee (a neighborhood favorite!). Our region produces some of the best talent in the country, and I’m committed to developing the next generation of sports legends. Growing up with a father employed at Kingsmill, I inherited a love for golf early on, starting with lessons from the legendary Calvin Pete. My career spans 33 years coaching high school basketball and four years coaching high school golf, culminating in a memorable achievement when my team made it to the state championships in 2024. Sports have always been my passion, and I'm grateful for the opportunities to mentor and inspire young athletes throughout my career.
