I'm dedicated to fostering both athletic growth and a deeper understanding of baseball's intricacies. I played at the collegiate level, every position- and am everyone’s favorite: a big lefty stick.

Having spent 22 years in the dugout, I'm passionate about fostering a love for baseball in every athlete. My name is Derek Decolati, and I have over 2 decades of baseball experience. I have had the pleasure of playing at highly competitive levels including D1. At this point of my baseball journey I have decided to take my talents to the art of teaching. For the last 2 years I have coached teams from ages 9-15. During that time I have traveled to baseball tournaments and have had successes and failures. But ultimately that will always be part of the game and provides for excellent learning experiences. For 18 years, I was blessed to be able to play my sport at the college level now my goal is to help young players live there dream and make it to college and hopefully pro ball

As a player for two decades including 4 years at the Division 1 level, 8 years professionally (parts of 3 years in the MLB) and two years into my coaching career working with players from all levels including the professional level with the Houston Astros I've guided baseball players, refining their skills and igniting their passion for the game. I focus on fundamentals, strategy, and fostering a love for baseball that lasts a lifetime.
