Hey! My name is Ryan and I’m the lead guitarist in a nationally touring band The Young Escape. I have years of live music and studio experience and can play in a wide variety of styles from pop to blues to funk to rock. Hi, I’m Johnny, a Berklee College of Music graduate, touring musician, and guitar coach with over 10 years of teaching experience. I’ve taught kids, beginners, and advanced players alike, from classrooms at Birches School in MA to private lessons in my Nashville recording studio. Along the way, I’ve toured internationally (including Radio City Music Hall on Kelsea Ballerini’s Heartfirst Tour) and recorded with producers like Sylvia Massy, Susan Rogers, and Eddie Spear. My lessons are fun, flexible, and built around your goals whether that’s strumming your first song, improving technique, or learning how to perform with confidence.

Hey there! I am originally from the PNW in Oregon. I have accrued several instruments over the years since I joined the school band at age 10. I fell in love with the guitar at the age of 13 and spent my teen years learning my favorite songs on the instrument. By the time I was 17, I formed a rock band with friends where I took on the role of lead vocalist and rhythm guitar. I studied Audio Engineering at Lane Community College and applied the skills I learned to help produce/engineer his band's first record. He also recorded a solo LP where he sang, played all the instruments, and mixed the record himself. After years of musical experience, I entered the education field in 2021 while living in Portland, OR, and worked at Happy Valley Arts Academy. In pursuit of continuing a career in live music performance as well as education, I decided to take a leap and move to Nashville in July 2023. I have since played on Broadway, Zion Christian Ministries and local touring acts in the area. You can listen to some of my guitar playing through my band @ Silver Glass on all streaming platforms.
