I have played in many ITF (International Tennis Federation) professional tournaments in different African countries and in Europe. Teaching and playing tennis is one of my biggest passions! I captained my college tennis team in Kansas before I transferred to Coppin State University which is a Division 1 school in Baltimore, Maryland. The past 3 summers I have worked at different summer camps where I taught countless tennis lessons to kids. Since 2018 been proudly representing the USTA in Fairfax schools with a leading Net generation program. Was working as tennis pro with Blue Chip Academy and Timuquana country club in Florida. Since 2021 is a self-employed coach that provides private and group classes for beginner to to high performance tennis players, coordinating junior and adult programs, leading Club social events. His love for racket sports was enriched with a PPR certificate, he is also skillful in racket stringing. Ferdinand is a USTA and PTR licensed tennis coach with over three decades of experience as a classroom teacher. A former collegiate athlete in soccer and track & field, he brings a multifaceted approach to coaching. As a professional stringer and dedicated mentor, Ferdinand specializes in junior and adult development programs, focusing on skill-building and fostering a love for the game. With a rich background in education and athletics, Ferdinand is passionate about helping players of all ages achieve their full potential on the court.

I established my tennis career in 1996 competing through high school and two years on the collegiate level for the University of the District of Columbia. During that time period I traveled to the United States Tennis Association National event as well as the American Tennis Association National event. In 1997 I was a finalist in many local tournaments and statewide. I carried my championship spirit through 1998 quickly climbing the state of Maryland local ranking system. In 1999 my doubles partner and I finished in 2nd place at the ATA National event. Talking about excited!
